If people see that your site’s content has passed its prime, they’re not going to stick around for long, much less book a trip with you. Translation: you’ll lose potential clients before you have a chance to impress them. Broken links and outdated info can also cost you rankings on Google.

Tip #2: Check Your Load Times

It's crucial to keep tabs on your site’s load time. As you add content to your site, your website will grow in size. This means your database will get heavier and more complex. You'll have to send more requests to your server meaning it will take longer for the site to load.

A lot of factors can cause a website to slow down including plugins, heavy graphics and high traffic. Slow load times will drive customers away from your site and penalize you through Google, so be sure to schedule regular performance checks.

Tip #3: Monitor Your Analytics

The analytics section of your website contains information about traffic channels, visitor’s location, clicks, search queries, search volume, daily traffic volume and more. Going through all the details of this section on a regular basis can help you understand how your site is performing.

This information will give you key insights into what’s working and what’s not. From there, you can make changes that will help your site perform better, be more user-friendly and ultimately get more traffic.

Tip #4: Check Performance on Browsers and Devices

You probably tested your website’s performance when you first set it up, but you’ve also made changes as time has gone on. So, keep testing it on different browsers and devices to make sure it’s working wherever someone might be using it. Plugins and graphics that look great on a desktop don’t always look great or work on a mobile device. Test regularly to catch any problems before they impact your clients.
